Alur Cerita :

Pada tahun 1994, Kerajaan Corea mengalami pergolakan hebat. Raja (Kwon Yool) dibunuh oleh saudaranya Lee Lim (Lee Jung-Jin) dan putra Raja Lee Gon (Jeong Hyun-Jun) ditikam di leher, tapi dia bertahan. Lee Lim yang pembunuh berusaha untuk memiliki Manpasikjeok, yang merupakan seruling legendaris yang memiliki kekuatan supernatural. Setelah sosok misterius muncul dengan pistol, Lee Lim menyelinap pergi dengan hanya setengah dari seruling yang sekarang rusak. Lee Gon muda memegang lencana polisi yang dia ambil dari sosok misterius itu. Keesokan harinya, Lee Goon ditunjuk sebagai penguasa Kerajaan Corea berikutnya.

25 tahun kemudian, pada musim gugur 2019, Raja Lee Gon (Lee Min-Ho) memerintah Kerajaan Corea sebagai pemimpin yang baik hati. Dia masih dihantui oleh apa yang terjadi ketika dia masih kecil dan misteri di balik lencana polisi yang ditinggalkan oleh penyelamatnya. Lencana polisi yang dia pegang dikeluarkan pada 11 November 2019 untuk Letnan Jeong Tae-Eul.

Musim gugur 2019, di Republik Korea, Jeong Tae-Eul (Kim Go-Eun) adalah seorang detektif di Divisi Kejahatan Kekerasan di Kantor Polisi Seoul Jongo. Dia bekerja menyamar untuk menghapus operator operasi perjudian online ilegal.

Sementara itu, di Kerajaan Corea, Raja Lee Gon mengejar seseorang yang berpakaian seperti kelinci dengan jam. Raja Lee Gon merasa bahwa orang yang berpakaian seperti kelinci mungkin adalah penyelamat misteriusnya dari 25 tahun sebelumnya. Raja Lee Gon menaiki kudanya Maximus dan memasuki hutan. Segera, dia menyeberang dari Kerajaan Corea ke dunia paralel Republik Korea. Raja Lee Gon akhirnya bertemu dengan Detektif Jeong Tae-Eul.
